KalkiCreate is an artist led initiative focused on empowering and fostering creativity, imagination and empathy in relationship to our environment. Through observing, learning from and connecting with our environment in a creative arts context, we allow for new forms of thinking and experiencing the world to emerge.

KalkiCreate works at the intersection of art, education and the environment to foster creative engagement with the world and to create a community and culture of connection, respect, creativity and freedom. 

Grounded in the philosophy of interrelationship, we are committed to learning through nature’s structures and forms, to address the challenges our world faces. When we translate this learning into our own social structures, we can live in greater harmony with our environment. When we live in creative relationship with the earth, we can express our full creative potential and a multitude of ideas spring forth.

Through arts education, group dialogues, campaigns and public works, KalkiCreate aims to unite social and ecological landscapes and view the concerns of each in light of each other, to create holistic social and environmental change.
